Current Investigation project
To investigate new modes of social and commercial dynamics in the city centre of Vitoria-Gasteiz with the participation of the agents involved. To deal with the massive use of the shopping centres in the outskirts of the city. In order to do this, the researchers will have the results of studies on uses and behaviour that have already been carried out.

As an administrative municipal body, the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council is in charge of managing the city, the day-to-day running of the services for its inhabitants and municipal needs. The Commerce Service created by the corporation in 2003 to contribute to the promotion and development of commerce in Vitoria-Gasteiz will be the department involved in the DISONANCIAS project via its Alhóndiga project: an urban renewal city project whose aim is to create an Urban Commercial and Service Park upon which to coordinate urban, commercial, tourism and infrastructure policies.
The municipal team participating in DISONANCIAS is interdepartmental in nature, with participation from the Department of Economic Promotion and Strategic Planning, the Commerce Service through its Department Manager and Commerce Service Director, and the Urban Planning Department through its Public Thoroughfare Service Director.

(Madrid, 1968) is a collective based in Madrid comprising Emilio Alarcón (naval engineer), Alberto Alarcón (architect), Ciro Márquez (architect) and Eva Salmerón (journalist). mmmm… works in social projects of an artistic nature. The collective has been the author of, amongst other projects, Telemadre, a social model that connects unemployed mothers with people that don’t have time to cook; La Invasión de Besos in Madrid; an excursion for the elderly to the Festimad music festival in Madrid; the scholarship Dinero para Leer, a scholarship to read Don Quixote in full silently in front of a webcam and completing a full working day; El Virus Amazonas, which deactivates pixels from your computer in the same proportion as the disappearance of the Amazon jungle; or the raffle for ten hams in the Miró Foundation of Mallorca in order to attract new visitors (the hams are on display in the Foundation until the day of the raffle).
